Bookish creators, reviewers, and authors are more visible than they’ve ever been, and the relationships forming around them have gotten complicated. his panel looks at how those one-sided dynamics actually form, when they curdle into something harder, and what it feels like to be on the receiving end of being “known.” Panelists will talk boundaries, blurred lines between personal and professional, and the strange parasocial dynamics that show up between creators themselves. We’ll also make room for the better version of all this, the audiences who show up generously, and what a healthier relationship between creators and the people who love their work can look like.
